Our December FemToba Film Chat is with JJ Neepin! She is a writer, director, producer, and member of the Fox Lake Cree Nation. Alongside her sister Justina, they created their first short film with Gimli Film Fest's RBC Pitch Competition, and founded JJNeepinFilms Inc. JJ has directed several short films, documentaries, and TV series including Headdress which screened at Hot Docs, Taken, and Amplify. She was also an associate producer for the CBC series Trickster. She has received many awards and fellowships including the 2019 WIDC/CBC Films Talent Development Award for her feature script Luminous, and shadowed directors on features and TV series.
